The COVID-19 pandemic has touched every part of our lives. Vaccines offer hope, and every one of us has a right to accurate, trusted information about them. Working with ten collaborating organizations across the country, the Smithsonian created the Vaccines & US website to help individuals make informed decisions about the COVID-19 vaccines.
The Vaccines & US initiative strives to enlist every museum, library, and cultural or civic institution to engage in vaccine education and support. Pooling valuable resources, expertise, and using varied forms of learning and expression can help cultural organizations leverage their public trust to make lifesaving differences and aid economic and cultural recovery in our communities.
Vaccines & US brings together the best available resources about COVID-19 and the vaccines, as well as resources to address many health-related pandemic needs. The website includes science, history, art, music, and practical tips about dealing with COVID-19 at this moment.
This short book, created Manuela Molina and translated into 25 languages, was created to support and reassure children under the age of 7 about COVID-19. This book is an invitation for families to discuss the full range of emotions arising from the current situation.
